2024, a cooperative organization

The working groups (COTECHs) formed, we are working on the organization of the 2024 edition.

COTECH sheep : partners and stakeholders in the sector were there with numerous ideas for improvements and activities (national competition, conferences , shearing demonstration, wool work , highlighting transhumance, zoom on the working tools for identification and gestation, etc.).> Equine COTECH : the partners and players in the sector came in large numbers and offered various activities (regional draft horse competition, traction and work demonstration, pony rides, carriage rides, transport for people with reduced mobility, collection of waste,…) and many new things that you can discover.

COTECH youth : local high schools, Haut-Garonnais, Gersois, Bigourdans, Ariègeois, Béarnais, Basques, etc. responded and are keen to get involved. The heads of the establishment and their teaching teams will offer (among other things) to the students the opportunity to help breeders with animal care, to hold sales and presentation stands for their establishment and the sectors, to participate in youth competitions, to give demonstrations, help with the inauguration service and welcome the public...

COTECH sustainable development : more than 40 people present with many activities to offer. The sustainable development center will be very lively (actions and events around water, wood, summer pastures, pastoralism, agrivoltaism, bio-waste processing, transhumance, the equine sector, herding dogs, equipment ancient …)

COTECH tourism : stakeholders from the department and neighboring departments are already working to promote the entire massif and the tourist offer that they will offer to visitors.

COTECH security : we are already working on accessibility to the show with the management of road flows both for the arrival of visitors and that of animals, and also the safety of everyone in the enclosure, to welcome you in the best possible conditions.

COTECH cattle : the selection organizations, breed unions, breeders, technicians, etc. were numerous. This will be a first in France in an agricultural show, we will host 6 national competitions:
Blonde d'Aquitaine
TOP 100 Gascon of the Pyrenees
Charolais
Bazadais
TOP 100 Prim'Holstein
TOP 100 Limousin
and numerous interregional or interdepartmental competitions and presentations, Montbéliard, Brune des Alpes, Abondance, Jersiaise and the traditional Comminges beef cattle competition (fatted cows and calves).

COTECH inter-professionals️ : a lot of work is being carried out with all inter-professional organizations in the common interest of promoting production sectors (meat, fruit and vegetables, milk , cheeses , wines , cereals …) and to introduce the different professions to new generations and the general public.
